History:

Boomer was born a normal child in London England, with a mother, father and older brother. From an early age, she expressed a defenite love of music, and acted upon it almost immediatly. She was drawn to the sights and sounds of loud clubs, pounding speakers and ripping guitars. She swooned over 80's rockers such as David Bowie, and obsessed over any form of music and was highly tolerant of it. (Who else could put up with John Mellencamp changing his name so much?). She began going to raves, clubs and parties, learning how to best use her new found love for music and dance. On her 18th birthday, she received her fathers Gibson guitar as a gift, and immediatly took into taking lessons.

It was the same way she'd receive her powers.

Her family had been driving home from a practice, and as per usual, Arietta and Jacob were doing what siblings do best, fighting. The weather was turning bad, and a lighting storm was approaching. Push came to shove, and both parents became preoccupied with attempting to split up the quarrling siblings, when a drunk driver struck the side of the car. The car was flung off the road, and off to a ditch. Arietta was the first one out of the car, dragging her brother with her. The lightning storm was nearly upon them, and as Arietta moved to pull her brother onto the road, a bolt of lightning struck the guitar strapped to her back, electrifying her. As she screamed, she could feel her vocal chords tightening, and something akin to a sonic boom blasted her back off of the over turned car, and into the filling ditch resovoir. She lost consiousness, but awoke to find herself in a hospital. She was badly burned, but it was revealed that her guitar had taken the brunt of the blast. The police approached her, and explained that her mother had been lost in the car accident, and the bodies of her brother and father had not been found.

Arietta was released to the custody of the state, where she bounced from foster home to foster home, and eventually travelled to the United States, seeking to teach her knowledge of music to the world. She came to realize she had the ability to control the flow of electricity that was coursing through her at will, though if she did not watch herself, she could easily shock someone who got to close. She'd come to appreaciate rubber soled shoes, and rubber palmed gloves to prevent herself from accidentlly shocking herself, or something else. She could draw electricity from appliances around her, and subsequently, power her guitar without the need for an amp...or power cord. Her high electrical feild had altered the pigmentation of her hair, turning it varying shades of deep black and a violent neon green. Another intesting thing she'd come to appreaciate, was the now mutated tightening of her vocal cords, that would produce varying levels of sound at will. She began testing her ability to weild her electrical charge though her guitar, and found it was sucessful. She began working on channeling her sonic abilites though the music she played, and while it was rough and rocky...the skill was plausible...

During her time in America, she became very rough and aloof, adopting an almost 'anti-hero', attitude to her skills and abilites. If the jobs she did got done, then they got done, if they did not, then they did not. She became short tempered and quick to act. It is not uncommon for her to burst out and snap at someone for their actions, only to become angry that she had done so. She seeks her reclusion in Scruffytown, seeing over the various misfits...

She is most commonly found at various clubs in the tri-state area, either DJ-ing or raving, depending on her mood. She can often be called in as Boomer to power the generators for all night parties, to which she happily does so. The longer the party and the louder the music, the happier she'll be.

Powers / Equipment:

As stated in her history, Boomer can draw electricty from electrical appliances, or the faint electrical charge in her, or others bodies. She can also produce 'Sonic Booms' from her vocal chords, ranging in levels to sub sonic, to decibels able to produce destruction. The skill has not been polished, but she has begun working on channeling her electricity and sonic powers though her Gibson Guitar.

I-Pod: Boomer also carries with her two or more Ipods at one time, with ear buds. For inspiration in a pinch when writing new music, she always finds that music will keep her motiviated.

Speaker Ball: She also occasionally carries a collapsable speaker ball on her person, to 'share the wealth' of her music.

Ear Plugs/Sound Blocking ear buds: Because she has not adapted to her sonic powers yet, her ears are sensitive to noise.

Weaknesses:

Due to her electrical charge, water poses a great risk to Boomer. While being doused with water will only dampen her charge, a change of dry clothes and a towel can fix this. If she is completely submerged for a prolonged period of time, her electrical stystem will short out, and the possibilites of damage are inumerable.

She can also become vulnerable to herself. Like any skill or knack, prolonged use will cause harm. Sonic Bursts can cause her to be temporarily deaf, while her electrical charge can cause burning, and damage her skin.

On a lighter weakness, Boomer has a fondness for glow sticks and poi...preferably fire poi...It is not uncommon for her to paint her hair in the glow stick gel and attend a rave as such.
