History:

Seven years ago, on prom night, my best friend told me he believed in my ability to do good in the world. Then we kissed for the very first time. Little did we know that the disco ball hanging above us had become super charged with electricity due to some faulty wiring! A giant bolt shot down (I took the brunt of it, thanks to my sparkly tiara—which I wore that night because prom is one place you should be able to wear a tiara and not look crazy). We both survived, and of course we started dating, and eventually we got hitched.  But after the accident, I found that I'd developed some rather useful superpowers...

Also…it turns out the powers in my gloves and tiara are mutable—these tools actually help whoever possesses them to realize their greatest ambitions!  As such, I must prevent them from falling into the wrong hands…

I'm a clinical psychology grad. student by day, working with kids and researching ways that friendships help children to grow up more happy and healthy and less like the Dark Enforcer.

Powers / Equipment:

1) Telepathic link with those in distress: I can read the thoughts of those who are in trouble.  This helps me find and diffuse crisis situations by letting me into the minds of potential victims, and often villains as well (if they are afraid or in a state of distress… which they often are).  The greater the distress, or the nearer the person in distress, the easier it is for me to hear—I've heard folks as far as 100 miles away.  This power aids me immensely in my career as a student of clinical psychology, too.

2) Healing touch: When I'm wearing my shiny satin prom gloves, I have the ability to ease whatever pain someone is experiencing—be it physical or psychological.  I can't cure mortal wounds or tumors etc., but I can stop the pain, and heal more minor wounds.  Let's just say my fella wouldn't have come out of the disco-ball incident unscathed without this little power…

3) Benevolence beam: With the aid of my disco-lightning warped tiara, I can show others the potential for good that lies within them!  Whether villains choose to embrace that vision is their prerogative…

After the accident, I fought evil on the sly for a while (not even telling my best friend/boyfriend).  When he found out, he was very worried, and wanted to make sure I'd be safe.  He's a bit of a genius at the physics, so he made me a corsage that is actually a stun-ray which can incapacitate bad guys without hurting them.

Weaknesses:

Since I can hear the thoughts of those in distress, mass disaster situations are pretty overwhelming.  Also, the use of the Benevolence Beam is very draining, and as such must be used sparlingly.  Also, also, though I'm steadfastly true to my man, I do tend to look for the good in people, so I'm a sucker for a villain with a good back story (especially if he sounds like Alan Rickman or Mark Hamill).

Creator Info:

Pretty much the above, sans superpowers, and I didn't kiss my best friend til 3 years after we went to prom together
