History:

Like many before him, Gabe came to Los Angeles with dreams of showbiz stardom only to be met with failure after failure. In order to support himself, he would take whatever odd work he could find, including helping out his friend, Mark, at his store, "Mistwell Games" (little did he know that Mark's wife, Melody, was actually the famed superheroine, Hygena, a fact he still remains ignorant of to this day).

It was while driving a shipment of dice to Mistwell Games that Gabe narrowly avoided having his bike run into a car. The car's driver, who was eluding police having just stolen a strange artifact known only as the Dodecahedron of Lampion from the Los Angeles Museum of History, wasn't so lucky. It was in the crash that the Dodecahedron was lost in the spilled contents of Mark's shipment. The robber accidentally grabbed a 12-sided die he thought was the Dodecahedron and ran before realizing his mistake, the police in hot pursuit. While upset over his ruined bike, Gabe refused to leave his task incomplete and gathered all the scattered dice including the Dodecahedron, and carried it all the way back. Out of sympathy and as a way of rewarding his diligence, Mark rewarded Gabe by letting him have a free handful of dice from the shipment he delivered. Little did Gabe know that the Dodecahedron was included in the handful he happened to grab.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Powers / Equipment:

THE DODECAHEDRON OF LAMPION (aka: The Dodecahedron, Green Gamer's Lucky 12-Sider)

This strange artifact of indeterminable origin was discovered on an archeological expedition on the remote Mediterranean isle of Lampion. While on display at the Los Angeles Museum of History, it was stolen by a professional burglar secretly working for media tycoon and sponsor of the exhibit, Francis Wyvern. Due to chance circumstances (see above) it came to be in possession of an individual who would go on to become "The Green Gamer".

The Dodecahedron is activated by throwing it into the air, where it proceeds to hover and spin randomly for a brief second until finally settling on one of its 12 faces. It then transforms into a glowing green energy which is absorbed by whoever threw it into the air. The thrower is then granted a "super-power" for a total of 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes are over, the green energy seeps out of the thrower's body and gathers in the palm of his or her right hand, where it reforms back into the Dodecahedron.

Which super-power the thrower receives depends on which of its 12 sides the Dodecahedron finally settled on. While it is assumed that there are 12 possible super-powers, only 11 have been discovered to date;

1. Flight

2. Super-Strength

3. Super-Speed

4. Super-Agility

5. Invulnerability

6. Invisibility

7. Intangibility

8. Telepathy

9. Telekinesis

10. Teleportation

11. Size-Shifting

The 12th super-power remains unidentified, even to the Green Gamer himself.

Weaknesses:

Aside from the obvious disadvantages of being unable to choose which power he receives, the inability to have more than one power at a time and the 5-minute time limit, every time the Green Gamer activates the Dodecahedron, the energy causes an almost infinitesimal alteration to his DNA, slowly transforming him into something... Other than human.
