Appearances:

He appeared in "Crisis of Faith" where he was pitted against Crossfire the Crusader by a plan devised by Lord Phlegmis.  Later appearing in "Upgrade" he was taken out by Darkwind with little effort, he was then offered to upgrade his systems by the villian Upgrade which he did making him more powerful than ever before.

Powers:

Although he began as a man in a rocket suit with no superpowers, Afterburner became more than that when the villian "Upgrade" gave him a new system.  What was before precisely tuned miniature jet engines are now part of his anatomy.  He has a thin chromed layer of skin that prevents damage from heat and concussion.  He can create blasts of force from his hands and feet equivelant to that of a Jet engine.  The actual conditions of the upgrade are unknown as of yet.  It was most likely a combination of nanotechnology and genetic mutation.
